Terminal 1 of Heathrow Airport handles 25 million passengers a year. The terminal handles all domestic flights and a range of flight to European and long haul locations.
Check in The check in desks for terminal 1 flights can be found on the first floor. It is always best to arrive as early as possible for your departure as check in times are subject to change. It is always best to check your ticket or contact your tour operator for any changes.

Before you check in To assist security and save time, have all tickets and passports available for inspection. Hand luggage should only include items of value and necessities for the duration of the journey. After you have completed your check in and all luggage to be put in hold has been handed go through security. Once through security there is a large choice of places to eat drink and shop. Please check restrictions on what can be taken though security.
Self Service Check In An addition to the check in desks some airlines have introduced Self service check in, which helps to avoid the queues and reduces time. The service is easy to use and offers you the chance to pick your seat and print your boarding card. The service is available either online and at the airport kiosks or both, this varies between airlines.
